We did not have Playstations, Nintendo's, X-boxes, no video games at all, no 150 channels on cable, no video movies or DVD's, no surround-sound or CD's, no cell phones, no personal computers, no Internet or chat rooms....... 

When I was a Kid...

WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them! 

We use to say," I'm going to play Mom" early in the morning.. and stay gone till lunch time playing with the kids we knew in the neighborhood... and some days we did not even come home to eat lunch. Oftentimes we would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on. And we were SAFE! 

We drank water from the garden hose and NOT from a bottle.

We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from it. 
We ate cupcakes, white bread and real butter and drank Kool-aid made with sugar, but we weren't overweight because, WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING! Our gasoline was under a dollar a gallon. Our parents did not pay half a million dollars for their homes. Our Meat actually had Flavor instead of the tasteless meat we now have. 

Children had Mothers and Fathers, not two mothers or two fathers. 

If a person got a job, worked hard and did a good job, they knew they would have a job until they retired.. now days companies are selling off and moving to China.. if they were ever here to begin with.

With corruption, rape, murder, all manner of immoral and illegal activity rampant in these United States of America. With America having 1 out of every 100 people in jail or prison.. LINK. With Americans faced with having a choice between various levels of incompetence for their to-be Politicians and Lawmakers... are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?'
